Description of Mari Newman's "Tree Lady":

On a lawn of green grass and pink daisies, a figure seemingly sewn together from fabric and colorful leaves stands like an upside down feather duster. Twig-like fingers extend from each hand and two feet peek out from under a skirt of leaves. A long brown torso rises in a stitched smile with two wide open square eyes and a thatch of green leafy hair. Two trees have rectangular leaves of yellow/red and green/blue on trunks of blue and purple with squiggly yellow lines. A green polka dot sun sets on the pink horizon.
